Step 01.Coating the inner surface of centrifugal casting mold
First we need to preheat the steel mold uniformly and then coating the inner surface of centrifugal casting mold with a refractory casting coating to insulate the mold from the molten alloy metal that will follow.This lining process is very important for the production of castings and always is a must.
Step 02.Pouring the molten metal into centrifugal casting mold
We pour the molten alloy metal into the rapidly spinning steel mold at a monitored and controlled rate.The rotation of the metal mold should be calculated to subject the castings to tremendous g-forces which are proprietary for the particular size and alloy characteristics.These centrifugal forces serve to both shape and physically refine the casting into a dense,high-quality cylindrical product.
Step 03.Extracting the casting from centrifugal casting mold
Upon cooling below transition range,we use the extraction equipment to remove the solidified casting from the steel mold. Sometimes,after casting process, we will do the annealing heat treatment to the castings along with steel mold and later we pull castings out from the steel mold.
Step 04.Cleaning the roughcast and do some inspection
After cooling,just before the casting is shot-blasted to remove the remaining mold coating material,the casting is inspected visually and dimensionally to assure the standard of quality our customers require.
