How do WANHING to produce centrifugal casting mould?

For all centrifugal casting manufacturers,the core production facility is the centrifugal casting machines.The centrifugal casting mould,also named steel mold,metal mold,steel die,steel cylinder,etc,is the most important part of centrifugal casting machines and it play a very important role in the production of castings.Every centrifugal casting producers want to buy a high-quality centrifugal casting mold to help them produce more good-quality castings.

How to produce a centrifugal casting mold? In the past,some mold manufacturers used the ROLLED METAL(also named MILL BAR) and CORE ROD(also named MANDREL BAR) to produce the centrifugal casting mold,but such steel molds is more easier to be cracked when it spins at a high speed on horizontal & vertical centrifugal casting machines.Later,steel mold manufacturers start to use the forging process to produce the mold.Forged molds have a good micro structure and generally they have a more longer service life.

A finished centrifugal casting mold with perfect performance often need a high-quality mold roughcast.At present,WANHING use the forging process to produce all steel molds for their clients in centrifugal casting industry.Generally we use the SOLID FORGED STEEL BAR and HOLLOW MOLD ROUGHCAST to make the centrifugal casting mold.

When the inner diameter of the finished mold is less than 500mm, we often use the solid forged steel bar to make the centrifugal casting mold. Of course,all forged steel bars are ultrasonically tested and heat treated and also stress relieve before taking final machining cut.

When the inner diameter of the finished mold is more than 500mm,we often use hydraulic forging machine to forge the hollow mold roughcast and then use it to make the centrifugal casting mold. Kindly please visit the following video to know how do we produce the hollow mold roughcast.
